One-Day Workshop on AUTOMATION IN CHEMICAL INDUSTRY

Under the auspices of Technology & Energy Expert Committee, ICC is organizing a One-day Workshop on "Automation in Chemical Industry" on Friday, 13 July 2012. The venue of the Seminar is Terrace Hall, West End Hotel, 45 New Marine Lines, Near Bombay Hospital, Mumbai - 400 020.

OBJECTIVE:
The days of operating the plants manually have faded away in the history. The extent of batch operations is undoubtedly coming down and the continuous and semi-continuous operations constantly increasing. Automation has been constantly growing with respect to its applicability and sophistication. Automation plays an important role in achieving plant productivity, efficiency, effectiveness and ensures safety. Therefore all the operating engineers, production managers are encouraged to apply and use feasible and appropriate strategies of "Automation" which encompasses the operation of equipment and packages and collectively entire plant. Workshop will focus all the aspects of automation and give participants concise and structured information with numerous case studies.

FACULTY:
Mr. Ramani Iyer, Member of Technology & Energy Expert Committee, ICC is the Coordinator for the Workshop. Experts from the industry will address the participants.

PROGRAM:
It will be seen from the Program that various relevant topics such as Integration of Appropriate Automation - Manufacturing Industry, Batch Control, Automation Systems in Chemical Plants, Economics of Automation have been covered. Case Studies will also be presented by the chemical companies.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Plant Managers, Process Design Engineers, Control Engineers and Supervisors and Plant Operations Engineers should consider attending the Workshop. It is expected that the benefit would be more intense by their active participation.

REGISTRATION FEES:
To defray the expenses, the registration fees will be as follows:

ICC Members : Rs.4,495/- per delegate (including 12.36% Service Tax)
Non Members : Rs. 5,618/- per delegate (including 12.36% Service Tax)

On this occasion, ICC intends to bring out a Souvenir which will contain papers to be presented at the Workshop by the speakers. The souvenir will be extremely useful not only to delegates who are attending but also to those who may not be in a position to attend the Workshop due to prior commitments.
