One-Day Refresher Course on FLOW METERING

INTRODUCTION

Under the auspices of the Technology & Energy Expert Committee, ICC is organizing a One-day Refresher Course on "FLOW METERING" on 8 August 2014. The venue of the Refresher Course is Terrace Hall, WEST END HOTEL, 45 New Marine Lines, Near Bombay Hospital, Mumbai - 400 020.

OBJECTIVE

Chemical Industry operations handle a variety of fluids, may they be products, raw materials, intermediates, recycles, package unit streams or even utilities such as steam, refrigerant, air, water, fuels and thermic fluids. All of them need to be accurately measured whether it is a process requirement or business and accounting imperative.

Regardless, deployment of service-worthy flow measurement devices is absolutely essential. Consequently, the scope of flow measurement and control has grown, so also the degree of attention required. Moreover, the material balance/ loss assessment, and costing of raw materials and products have become accuracy sensitive. In view of this, it is prudent to hold a one-day refresher course that will disseminate condensed expert knowledge in flow metering.

PROGRAM:

Experts from industry, academia, and consulting would share their knowledge and experience. Detailed program is annexed herewith. It would cover various aspects such as Introduction to Flow systems, Flow Principles and Flow Meters, Measurements involving conventional as well as special flow meters and the applicable/ prevailing Standards covering installation, measurement and control.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Process/ production/ plant / instrument engineers and managers engaged in design, operation, operation-support and project & engineering activities would benefit from the course. Considering the importance of the subject, this course is recommended also for concerned senior executives.

REGISTRATION FEES

To defray the expenses, registration fees will be as follow:
