During the CEOs RoundTable organized as a part of INDIA CHEM 2014 on 9 October 2014, issue of public hearing for expansion / new project at existing industrial estate was brought to the notice of Shri Ananth Kumar, Hon'ble Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India.
Hon'ble Minister agreed to look into the matter. He has also requested us to give complete details of all other environment related issues faced by the Indian chemical industry with possible solutions. Joint meeting will then be organized between Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers and Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change along with ICC representatives. In the meeting all these issues will be discussed for possible solutions in the interest of the Indian chemical industry without affecting environment.
We request members of ICC to communicate environment related issues faced by them to ICC - Mumbai Office at the earliest for consolidation. Thereafter necessary meeting will be arranged with both the Ministries.
