How To Join

Ordinary Membership > Membership Enquiry Form
  • Every person, firm or company manufacturing chemicals is eligible to be a member of the Council.
  • Prospective members can apply for membership on the form proscribed by the Council.
  • Prospective members on fulfilling the conditions will make payment for the admission and subscription fee. The subscription fee will be at the rate which is in force at that time.
  • Prospective members will be admitted provisionally as a member of the council subject to confirmation General Body of the Council.
  • In the case of applicants who are provisionally admitted to membership after 30th day of September on any financial year, the Executive Committee, if so requested, may at its discretion charge membership subscription for that financial year at half the annual rate for the time being in force.
  • The Executive Committee shall be at liberty to reject any application without giving any reason.

For firms / companies having annual sales turnover Subscription (Rs.)
Upto Rs.5 Crores 7,500/-
Over Rs.5 crores and upto Rs.50 crores 15,000/-
Over Rs.50 crores and upto Rs.200 crores 20,000/-
Over Rs.200 crores and upto Rs.500 crores 30,000/-
Over Rs.500 crores 50,000/-
The organizations who have applied for membership but not yet started commercial production / marketing and hence there is no sales turnover.
(As soon as production/marketing starts subscription fees shall be Rs.7,500/-)

The executive committee is empowered to revise the subscription rates subject to ceiling of Rs.75,000/-. The Executive Committee is also empowered to revise slabs and ceiling to an appropriate level as and when need is felt.


  1. Every member who would like to apply for LIFE MEMBERSHIP shall pay one time membership subscription of Rs.5 lakhs.
  2. Every member who would like to apply as PATRON MEMBER shall pay one-time subscription of Rs.10 lakhs and will have permanent seat on the Executive Committee of the Council for 20 years from the date on which payment is made.

Associate Membership > Membership Enquiry Form

  • The following types of firms are eligible for associate membership
    • Form engaged in trading, marketing, engineering & consultancy, supplying goods to the chemical industry,
    • Research and development related to chemical industry
    • Firms in activities relevant to the chemical industry and units in small scale sector.
    • Industry Associations
  • Prospective members shall apply for membership on the form prescribed by the council.
  • Prospective members on payment of subscription for the current year and on being approved by the Executive Committee shall be admitted provisionally as an Associate Member of the Council. Subscription will be at the rate for the time being in force.
  • The provisional membership will be subject to confirmation by the General Body of the Council.
  • In the case of applicants who are provisionally admitted to Associate Membership after the 30th day of September of any financial year, the Executive Committee, if so requested, may at its discretion charge membership subscription for that financial year at half the annual rate for the time being in force.
  • The Executive Committee shall be at liberty to reject any application without giving any reason.
Associate Members are not eligible to be Member of the Executive Committee and shall attend the meetings of the Executive Committee only when specifically invited by the Executive Committee.

Associate Members shall also have no right to vote at General Meetings of the Council.


  1. Every Associate Member shall, on admission to membership of the Council pay an Admission fee of Rs.5,000/-
  2. The Annual Membership Subscription for such an Associate Member shall be Rs.5,000/-

Every Association, Chamber or other Body complying with the requirements of Article 8 shall, besides the admission fee of Rs,5,000/- pay an annual affiliation fee calculated at the rate of Rs.150/- per member of such Association, Chamber or other Body subject to a minimum of Rs.1,500/- and a maximum of Rs.4,500/-. President of such Association, Chamber or other Body is eligible to be a Member of the Executive Committee but will not be eligible for voting rights.

In case of new entrants, membership subscription shall be paid alongwith the application for membership and in the event of the application for membership being refused, the amount shall be refunded to the applicant. Before the 31st March in each year the National Headquarters shall call on each member of the Council to make a return of the sales turnover for the precious year ending 31st March in order to determine the subscription payable. Failing the submission of such return by any member within a period of 4 weeks after issue of the notice the membership subscription shall be determined based upon the information that may be in possession of the Council.

For determining the sales turnover, National Headquarters shall be guided by the growth rate in the turnover of the chemical industry during that particular year.

If a member of the Council being a firm shall be converted into a company with limited liability, or shall transfer all its business and assets and liabilities to a company with limited liability, then on the joint application of such firm and such company , and subject to the approval and consent of the Executive Committee, such company may be admitted as a member in the place of the firm without payment of any admission fee or any additional subscription for the year in which such change takes effect.

In the case of a firm applying for membership of the Council the partners of the firm must subscribe by signing their names on the application for membership.

Every member desiring to resign from membership of the Council shall give to the National Headquarters written notice in that behalf. The Executive Committee shall take notice of the resignation at its first meeting after receipt of the notice and shall take decision on the same within six month of receipt of the notice. No member shall on resignation be entitled to a refund of the admission fee paid by him or any part thereof or the subscription paid by him for the then current financial year or any part thereof. Every member shall pay to the Council all subscriptions and the other amounts due and payable by him before resignation shall take effect.
