Webinar on "GREENHOUSE GAS (GHG) EMISSION DATA CALCULATION"

We are happy to inform you that ICC in collaboration with International Council of Chemical Association (ICCA) Energy & Climate Change (E&CC) Leadership Group (LG) is organizing a Webinar on "GREENHOUSE GAS (GHG) EMISSION DATA CALCULATION" on Friday, 15 January 2021 Virtually from 10.00 a.m. - 01.15 p.m.

BACKGROUND:

Green House Gas (GHGs) (i.e. CO2, CH4, N2O, HFCs, PFCs and SF6) expressed as equivalent CO2 corresponding to their Global warming Potential. The emissions of these GHGs depend on many factors (as mentioned below) and are, in general, estimated through mass balance and/ or measuring their content in emissions:

  • Type of industry/ processes
  • Type of fuels used
  • No. and type of electrical and refrigeration equipment used.

As per Paris Agreement, every country has to report the GHGs by 2024. The GHG reporting is not mandated by law in India, likely in near future it will be. However, as commitment to Responsible Care, Companies do calculate the GHG (CO2) from fuel and report to ICC and subsequently cumulative data is reported to ICCA.

OBJECTIVE:

The objective of the Webinar is to show what is GHG, Introduction of Simple Module for GHG Calculation and its Demonstration: GHG emission from production.

WHO SHALL ATTEND:

Person who are "Beginners" in chemical companies and who are not familiar with GHG emission calculation can attend this Webinar.
