Water Policy Dialogue - Data Collection From Industrial Units

REQUEST TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE ICC

The crisis in water is imminent is no longer a matter of conjecture based on newspaper reports. Periodically the impact is felt through shocks. That existing water policy pronouncements are incomplete are no longer disputed. Increases in water consumption due to larger scales of industrial production, increasing urbanization coupled with lifestyle changes, are factors impacting water consumption. Thus there is need for a fresh dialogue between all stakeholders to review existing arrangements/principles. Also discover new paradigms in water use.

We are happy to inform you that Dr. Mihir Shah, Member, Planning Commission, Government of India has kindly agreed to interact with the members of Council on Saturday, 20 July 2013 in Mumbai regarding Industry\'s concerns about the availability of water.
