Under the auspices of the Technology & Energy Expert Committee, ICC is organizing One-day Seminar on "WATER MANAGEMENT IN CHEMICAL PROCESS INDUSTRY" on 7 December 2018. The venue of the Seminar is Terrace Hall, West End Hotel, 45 New Marine Lines, Mumbai – 400 020.
Water, food and energy securities are emerging as increasingly important issues for the world. We understand that we are posed with the challenge of limited fresh water supply. With increase in urbanization and industrialization, the demand for water will only exponentially increase in the years to come. This increase in water demand can be met by effectively managing the available water as a resource.
Water recovery through wastewater treatment is gaining popularity as a source of usable water in different countries across the globe. In India, there is a huge potential for water recovery from the large volumes of industrial and domestic wastewater thereby bridging the gap between demand and supply. Wastewater treatment and recycling improves water utilization, enhancing availability for both domestic and industrial consumption.
There are a variety of operations available for wastewater treatment and recovery. A combination of different methodologies like mechanical, physical, chemical and biological treatment has to be adopted in order to achieve technically, economically and ecologically viable solution for a complete water management system.
The Seminar focuses exclusively on sharing information on the practical methods for wastewater management that may be adopted by various industrial units from all parts of the country.
