CURRICULUM FOR SKILL DEVELOPMENT COURSES

We are happy to inform you that Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India has signed MoU with Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSD) for skill development in Chemical and Petrochemical Sectors.

For Chemical Sector, Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT) has been mandated to impart skill development courses in chemical sector for employed as well as unemployed youths of the country. In this regard DCPC, IPFT along with ICC has identified some courses to be conducted by IPFT.

IPFT has prepared proposed curriculum for the courses for :

Analysis of Industrial Chemicals
QA / QC of Pesticides and their formulations
Handling of hazardous chemicals
Industrial & Chemical Safety
Process and Plant Operations
Chemical Packaging & Labeling

We need to have these courses useful to the chemical industry in actual operation. In view of this, we request members to give comments / suggestions for the improvement of curriculum prepared by IPFT before Thursday, 26 November 2015.
