18-19 December 2015 at Mumbai.. Two-Day Seminar on OPERATIONS TROUBLE SHOOTING CASE STUDIES

INDIAN CHEMICAL COUNCIL (ICC), under the auspices of the Technology & Energy Expert Committee, is organizing a Two-day Seminar on "OPERATIONS TROUBLESHOOTING CASE STUDIES" on 18-19 December 2015. The venue of the Seminar is Terrace Hall, West End Hotel, Next to Bombay Hospital, Mumbai - 400 001.

BACKGROUND

It is difficult to imagine any chemical industry operations not having any trouble any time whether it is in chemical processes involving conversions and/or in unit operations, supported by utilities, supplies, material storage and transfers. "Operations Problems" do happen in varying degrees and complexities. They exist, persist, reside or show up in the production operations.

The problems may have originated from inadequacies or malfunctioning in input-pursuits such as design & engineering, construction & maintenance and process & engineering materials or simply operating practices. Generally, they may reflect on production capacity, plant control, product quality, operations' productivity, efficiency and effectiveness, energy consumption, environment and plant safety. Individuals learn the art & science of troubleshooting by their own experience, by guidance from others' experience, by formal training supported by technical information and troubleshooting approaches.

Case Studies undoubtedly make the best and most welcomed tool for learning. Therefore, this Seminar is intended to serve the objective of imparting lessons, approaches and skills in practical "Operations troubleshooting" and is exclusively designed to use "Case Study" format and is expected to immensely benefit the concerned industry professionals.

PROGRAM

The Seminar will be coordinated by Mr. O. P. Goyal, Member, Technology & Energy Expert Committee, ICC. Experts from manufacturing operations, engineering consulting, industrial research & development and academia would share their knowledge and experience through presentation of "Operations Troubleshooting Case Studies". Keeping in mind the multi-faceted subject, varied experiences and continuous solicitation for skill development, a seminar in troubleshooting with case studies has been considered very vital, the approach having a wide appeal to the concerned chemical industry personnel. Detailed program is given hereunder for reference.
