INDIAN CHEMICAL COUNCIL, under the auspices of Technology & Energy Expert Committee, is organizing a One-day Refresher Course on "HEAT TRANSFER" on Friday, 22 February 2008. The venue of the course is Vista, World Trade Centre, Centre - I, 30th Floor, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai - 400 005.

Heat Transfer is a vital unit operation in every chemical process plant, yet Heat Exchangers are not given the due attention they deserve. This Refresher Course is aimed at plugging the gap between theory and practice in Heat Transfer and Heat Exchangers. Besides having an excursion to basics, some of key topics high lightening innovations, proposed to be covered by an expert faculty include:

• Enhanced heat transfer through fins and tube inserts
• Anti-vibration tube supports
• Helical Heat Exchangers
• Expanded Metal(EM) baffled Heat exchangers
• Compact Plate Heat Exchangers
• Graphite Heat Exchangers
• Design margins and fouling factors

The faculty includes experts from academics and industry viz. L&T, Alfa Laval, Graphite India, HRS Process Systems and Uhde India, to mention a few.

Who should participate :

The course is specially designed for Process design Engineers & Plant Engineers. Participants are encouraged to share innovations they have, with a brief presentations.The presentations may be sent to ICC - Mumbai Office so as to reach by Saturday, 16 February 2008.

All the delegates attending Refresher Course will be given "Certificate of Participation"
