One-day Seminar on 'RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE OF PERFORMANCE IN VARIOUS FACETS OF CHEMICAL INDUSTRY'

Members are aware that recently ICC announced the prestigious Annual Awards for excellence in performance in various categories for the year 2015.  The Council has invited representatives of the Award Winning companies to participate in the Seminar on "RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE OF PERFORMANCE IN VARIOUS FACETS OF CHEMICAL INDUSTRY" and highlight the various initiatives they have taken in respect of their achievements which prompted ICC to confer on them the Awards. The representatives of Award winning Companies will share their experiences which will be of great learning experience for the delegates who will be attending the Seminar.

Shri Samir Kumar Biswas, Joint Secretary - Chemicals, Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India has kindly agreed to be the Chief Guest and inaugurate the Conference.

Dr. Girish Sahni, Director General, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) & Secretary, Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India has kindly agreed to deliver the Key-Note Address.

PROGRAM:

Detailed program is enclosed herewith for ready reference. It will be noticed from the program that experts from different Award Winning Companies will participate and make presentation on different areas covering Development of Indigenous Technology, Management of Health / Safety/ Environment, Efficient Waste Management, Energy Conservation & Management, Water Resource Management in Chemical Industry, Social Responsibility etc.

Mr. Peter Gambill, Program Advisor, Chemical Security Program (CSP), United States Department of State CSRA will also participate in the Event and make a presentation on "Global CSP Programme on Collaborative Programme with ICC in India".

REGISTRATION FEES:

To defray the expenses, the registration fees will be as follows:

  1. ICC Members : Rs5,750/- per delegate (Rs. 5,000/- plus 15% Service Tax)
  2. Non Members : Rs. 6,900/- per delegate (Rs. 6,000/- plus 15% Service Tax)

The Annual Awards Presentation Function of ICC will also be held on 30 September 2016 from 6.00 p.m. onwards at the same venue.

Shri Ananth Kumar, Hon'ble Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India has kindly agreed to be the Chief Guestfor the function.  Mr. Ashwin Dani, Vice Chairman of Asian Paints Ltd has been invited to be the Guest of Honour

Apart from industry Awards, ICC D. M. Trivedi Lifetime Achievement Award for Contribution to Indian Chemical Industry (Management of Industry) will be presented to  Dr. Kamal Sharma, Vice Chairman, Lupin Limited and ICC D. M. Trivedi Lifetime Achievement Award for Contribution to Indian Chemical Industry (Education & Research) will be presented to Mrs. Indira Varma, (Reliance Emeritus Professor, Retd.), CPSE, IIT Delhi. 

ICC will also be honoring Mr. N. Sankar, Chairman, The Sanmar Group by presenting LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD.
                 
The Awards Presentation Function will be followed by Dinner. All the delegates attending the Seminar are invited to join the function.
